PROuD Project Showcased at the World ATM Congress 2016

9th March 2016, Madrid Spain. The SESAR PROuD Project is being showcased on the IDS stand at the 2016 World ATM Congress currently in progress in Madrid. The PROuD (PBN Rotorcraft Operations under Demonstration) Project, which is being led by IDS as part of a consortium, is one of the 15 Large Scale Demonstration projects that were selected for co-financing by the (SJU), which coordinates the research and innovation activities of the SESAR (Single European Sky ATM Research) project.

The purpose of the project is to demonstrate how the introduction of satellite based procedures designed specifically for helicopters can improve operations in European scenarios, which can be particularly challenging for weather conditions, visibility limitations or geographical configuration.

In particular, PROuD aims at enhancing rotorcraft operations, principally for HEMS (Helicopter Emergency Medical Service) flights, including Search and Rescue missions.

For more information on the PROuD Project, we invite you to visit the IDS stand, 494, at the World ATM Congress, or alternatively you can visit the PROuD website or download the PROuD leaflet.
