Airport & Terrain Obstacle Management
Airspace protection and obstacle clearance are vital to ensuring safe airport and aircraft operations. Strict international rules, such as the U.S. Standard for Terminal Instrument Procedures (TERPS), set regulations, procedures and standards for determining obstructions to navigable airspace, including the height of buildings, antennas, trees, and other objects in the vicinity of airports.
The IDS e-TOD (Terrain and Obstacle Database) professional software suite manages data pertaining to terrain and obstacles in compliance with international quality requirements, such as the production of ICAO charts. e-TOD provides aeronautical end users such as flight procedure, airspace and chart designers, with administration, validation, processing and reporting of data.
