IDS has developed a suite of mobile, state-of-the-art measurement systems to assess the performance of naval vessels in respect of their electromagnetic engineering (EME) characteristics.
AZIMUTH provides EMC/EMI measurements of a ships environment including near field, radiation hazard, inter-antenna coupling, and radiation pattern measurement.
It is a portable system using hand held devices and antennas to acquire the data and GPS (or alternate navigation system) to locate the measurement position on a CAD model. Software is used to guide the operator to a set of pre-defined measurement points on the CAD, to automate the acquisition of the measurements, to provide a real time display of the measurements and to perform post processing.
  • Fast deployment minimizes time and costs.
  • Accurate measurements provide navies and other users with a clear knowledge of the capabilities of their vessels.
  • No need for permanent purpose built onshore facilities, assessments can be performed anywhere.
  • Modular and flexible architecture allows easy adaptation.
