RIS One used for a Geophysical survey in Jordan

Dr. Alexander Novo, in collaboration with Geostudi Astier and IDS, is the research scientist responsible for geophysical investigations for the UC San Diego Edom Lowlands Regional Archaeology Project (ELRAP) which took place in Jordan from October 1st – November 21st, 2012.


The ELRAP team conducted non-invasive geophysical surveys using an IDS RIS One ground penetrating radar in the Faynan region of southern Jordan in collaboration with Dr. Mohammad Najjar, former director of excavations and surveys of the Department of Antiquities of Jordan.
